Firmware/ FPGA Engineers – all levels

Overview

You will design, develop and deliver firmware solutions powering Leonardo’s advanced systems. In this role you work on FPGA-focused development, analysis and verification within cross-functional teams to meet demanding requirements. You contribute to design reviews and ensure adherence to firmware processes, enabling robust, high-performance hardware-software integration. This role offers hands-on impact in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Concept development for complex functions and systems
• FPGA design and analysis
• Production of material for design reviews
• Development of test planning, integration and design verification
• Ensure firmware designs follow the company firmware process

Key requirements

• Experience in design techniques using VHDL
• Experience in verification techniques using either VHDL or SystemVerilog/UVM
• Experience in specifying timing and area constraints for FPGA place and route
• Ability to analyse system level requirements and derive detailed firmware requirements
• Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (preferable) or similar engineering/science course
