Hospital Director

Overview

As Hospital Director at Pinetree Hospital you will lead a 29‑bed specialist service, aligning high‑quality care with strategic and commercial aims. You will work with an experienced multi‑disciplinary team to deliver person‑centred support, reduce length of stay, and develop sustainable community placements. Your role combines clinical leadership with business development and external stakeholder engagement to uphold HIW standards and drive service excellence. This is an opportunity to shape a forensic‑informed care model built on positive behaviour support and active support planning.

Responsibilities

• Fulfil the role of Registered Manager and ensure HIW standards and regulations are met
• Develop quality healthcare services responsive to purchasers’ and patients’ needs and aligned with market trends and evidence-based practice
• Ensure financial and quality targets are achieved
• Lead the on-site senior management team and develop local service strategy, objectives, quality improvement and business plans
• Promote the hospital’s reputation for high-quality outcomes for service users
• Participate in contract reviews and represent service delivery
• On-call duties

Key requirements

• Hold a relevant Nursing Qualification
• Excellent track record in a healthcare management role
• Experience and knowledge in Positive Behaviour Support and modern approaches to care for people with learning disabilities
• Strong commercial acumen for service delivery and development
• Experience with budget control, business development and revenue generation
• Inclusive and supportive management style with strong leadership to implement change
• Experience working with external agencies (HIW, safeguarding, commissioning)
