Technical Coordinator – Residential

Overview

In this role you will support the technical team on high‑volume residential schemes, ensuring drawing packages flow from inception to completion. You will liaise with architectural partners to keep packages on track and coordinate with commercial and production teams to align design with build realities. You will review designs across disciplines, interpret Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and sustainability criteria, and identify critical paths to drive delivery. This is a hands-on, cross‑functional role in a top 20 residential developer, offering progression and a strong focus on quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drawing packages with the technical and architectural teams
• Collaborate with commercial and production teams to ensure timely delivery
• Question and verify design information across all disciplines
• Oversee detailed design for residential schemes in RC frame and timber frame
• Interpret Building Regs, NHBC Standards, and sustainability requirements
• Understand and interrogate project programmes, identifying critical paths
• Communicate with all disciplines at all levels
• Organise workflows and manage people, processes and time
• Support from inception through to completion on multiple developments
• Ensure compliance and quality across design and construct stages

Key requirements

• 5+ years of residential developer experience on multiple new build schemes
• Strong knowledge of the development/technical design process
• Experience with RC frame and timber frame residential construction
• Ability to interrogate and challenge design information across disciplines
• Architectural background; AutoCAD beneficial
• Understanding of Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, and sustainability considerations
• Ability to interpret project programmes and identify Critical Paths
• Degree level education or relevant professional qualification
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Team player with attention to detail and people management capability
