Associate Director – SPIVA Analytics Lead, Index Investment Strategy

Overview

In this role, you own and advance the SPIVA analytics platform within a global research team. You’ll improve data sourcing, validation, analysis, and delivery, building scalable pipelines and core datasets. You work with cross‑functional colleagues to translate data into actionable investment insights, shaping one of the franchise’s flagship research outputs. Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the SPIVA Scorecards production processes
• Build and extend scalable analytical pipelines, reporting tools, and datasets using modern data tools
• Validate and analyze data from multiple sources with emphasis on quality, reproducibility, and documentation
• Evaluate new data sources to extend the SPIVA platform’s scope and capabilities
• Own the operating model behind the dataset and analytics for global use
• Conduct original research with a research director to deliver new initiatives
• Collaborate with research, commercial, and cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities and gain buy-in
• Mentor and empower colleagues through tools, datasets, and analytical frameworks
• Communicate complex ideas clearly in written and oral formats
• Work from the office at least 2 days per week

Key requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in a data-driven role within financial services or a related environment
• Strong Python experience applied to data workflows (cleaning, validation, analysis, automation, reporting)
• Experience with large, real-world financial datasets and improving data quality and usability
• Experience building or maintaining analytical pipelines, toolkits, or data products used by teams
• Strong analytical judgement with evidence-based decision making and ability to influence stakeholders
• Autonomy and ability to operate with limited day-to-day direction
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical and non‑specialist audiences
• Collaborative, cross-functional mindset across teams and geographies
