Senior Software Engineer

Overview

You will join a high-performing team in the Betting division to deliver technical and product initiatives that scale our Sportsbook and Risk Management products. You’ll work within an agile squad to build distributed, real-time systems using cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Your work will shape an industry-revolutionising product through architecture, innovation and measurable business impact. Responsibilities

• Build and maintain highly distributed, real-time systems with scalable architecture
• Lead the execution of multi-sprint features with measurable business impact
• Innovate, architect, and deliver a cutting-edge product for sportsbook and risk management
• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary Agile squad focusing on continuous delivery
• Mentor engineers within and outside the immediate team
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure and containerised workloads

Key requirements

• expert level knowledge of at least one OO programming language (C#, Java, JS, Kotlin, Python, PHP, Golang, C++)
• flexibility to work across service stack (front-end, back-end, infrastructure)
• strong understanding of good software design principles (information hiding, abstraction, module design, cohesion/coupling)
• solid software architecture knowledge for highly-scalable, fault-tolerant microservices
• experience with TDD and resilient testing suites
• experience with source control, CI, pipelines, containerised workloads, and infrastructure as code
• experience in messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Pulsar)
• understanding of data structures, databases and caching
• ability to simplify complex domains, drive alignment, and surface edge cases
• experience mentoring engineers
