Overview

In this role you will lead the development and ongoing improvement of procurement and supply chain due diligence, assurance, and risk management. You will manage the internal and external audit interface and strengthen governance to identify and mitigate risks across the supplier base. The position supports project delivery teams by embedding due diligence throughout the supplier lifecycle and driving performance improvements. You will work in a collaborative environment focused on integrity, compliance, and resilience, with a clear impact on efficiency, sustainability, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage due diligence, assurance, and risk management processes for procurement and supply chain
  • Oversee supplier pre-qualification, verification, and audit frameworks to assess integrity and compliance
  • Collaborate with procurement and business units to embed due diligence across supplier lifecycle
  • Coordinate audit preparation, fieldwork, responses, and close-out actions with functional leads
  • Maintain documentation and evidence packs for compliance and audit readiness
  • Recommend internal control improvements and risk mitigation from audit findings
  • Own the supply chain risk management framework; identify, assess, monitor, and escalate risks
  • Develop business continuity, resilience, and crisis management plans for key suppliers and categories
  • Engage with legal, compliance, sustainability, and operations to align due diligence with corporate standards
  • Provide regular senior leadership reporting on emerging supply chain risks and mitigation actions
  • Monitor and report on assurance outcomes with improvement recommendations
  • Act as primary contact for internal and external audits relating to procurement and supply chain
  • Keep risk register up to date and drive corrective actions
  • Support cross-functional deployment of governance and risk management initiatives

Key requirements

  • Significant experience in a procurement and supply chain or supply chain risk role
  • Proven track record managing supply chain assurance, due diligence and/or audit programs in complex regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks, audit principles, and compliance standards relevant to procurement
  • Experience in supply chain risk management, including risk assessment methodologies and performance tracking
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to derive actionable insights
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with influence across functions and boundaries
