Overview
In this role you steer the Financial Crime product line within J.P. Morgan Personal Investing, shaping end-to-end capabilities across AML, KYC/CDD, sanctions, transaction monitoring and fraud controls. You’ll lead cross-functional squads, translate regulations into practical product features, and drive scalable, compliant, customer-centric propositions. You partner with Engineering, Compliance and Risk to deliver reliable, defensible controls at scale while enabling growth and new geographies. Your work directly impacts risk management and customer experience in a fintech-enabled environment.
Responsibilities
- Define and communicate a clear product strategy aligned with firm objectives for AML, KYC/CDD, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, fraud detection and investigator tooling
- Scale propositions into new investment services and geographies with compliant, regulated rollout
- Act as SME on financial crime, translating global regulations into practical product capabilities
- Lead discovery and market research, integrating competitive insights with Operations and Compliance needs
- Monitor product and customer journeys to reduce friction while maintaining compliance
- Own end-to-end development, ensuring regulatory alignment, testing coverage, and readiness for launch
- Design controls using data and metrics to balance compliance with customer experience and cost
- Lead change impact assessments and AML/Sanction risk assessments, contribute to risk appetite
- Support audits, regulatory interactions, and regulator engagement on financial crime topics
- Build cross-departmental relationships and manage vendor interactions across markets
Key requirements
- 10+ years in product management or equivalent, with 5+ years in Financial Crime/RegTech or compliance-related products
- Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale software platforms
- Deep knowledge of AML, KYC/CDD, sanctions, fraud and transaction monitoring workflows
- Strong understanding of UK regulatory landscape and multi-jurisdictional KYC obligations
- Experience with risk assessments and change impact assessments
- Proven experience with data-driven products and AI/ML in Financial Crime contexts
- Experience launching products for investment platforms or digital consumer banking in Europe
- Ability to translate policy and regulatory requirements for technical teams and stakeholders
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
