Commercial Property Solicitor – Essex

Overview

In this role you will handle a diverse commercial property caseload within a leading East of England firm. You’ll advise clients including businesses, investors, and developers, and work closely with colleagues to drive successful outcomes. You will draft and review leases, contracts, and related documents, while supporting business development and client relationship growth. The position combines technical property expertise with strategic input to support the firm’s growth and client service objectives. This is a client-facing, collaborative role that shapes property transactions at scale.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of commercial property matters including acquisitions, disposals, leases, and financing transactions
• Provide high-quality legal advice to clients including businesses, investors, and developers
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the commercial property team
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives
• Review and draft commercial leases, contracts and agreements
• Conduct due diligence and title investigations
• Attend client meetings and provide professional advice and strategy recommendations
• Network and engage in business development to expand the firm’s client base

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 7 years PQE in commercial property law
• Background of working within a reputable private practice
• Strong knowledge of commercial property transactions including landlord and tenant matters
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail
