Geotechnical Engineer-in-Training

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical site investigations and field reviews on project sites
• Install instruments and monitor measurements during construction
• Analyze field and laboratory data and prepare technical reports under supervision
• Support project planning and cost estimation through collaboration with other teams
• Contribute to the full lifecycle of geotechnical projects from investigation to design
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver safe, sustainable solutions

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline
• 2+ years of geotechnical engineering or related experience
• Eligible to register (or already registered) as an Engineering-In-Training with APEGA
• Valid Canadian Class 5 driver’s license; off-road driving and equipment experience is an asset
• Legally entitled to live and work in Canada
• Residing in Edmonton, AB, or willing to relocate
