Finance Business Partner – Projects

Overview

In this Finance Partner role, you will support financial performance across projects within a growing specialist construction business. You’ll lead budgeting, forecasting and cost control while partnering with non-finance stakeholders to drive commercial decisions. The role offers visibility across UK and international projects and a clear path toward Financial Controller. You will shape project costing and reporting, enabling timely, value-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cost control across the project lifecycle
• Prepare Cost-to-Complete reports and ensure accurate profit recognition
• Ensure robust calculation of costs, benefits and cash flows
• Develop and refine a standardised project costing model
• Manage capital budgets and track expenditure against approvals
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and monthly depreciation
• Provide effective financial partnering to business operations
• Deliver timely and value‑adding reporting to support commercial decisions
• Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships

Key requirements

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
