DataOps Engineer

Overview

In this role you will support the data operations for a leading quant investing firm, ensuring reliable data processing and timely delivery to decision makers. You will join a middle-office team known for rigor and intellectual collaboration, contributing to scalable data ingestion and transformation in a 24/7 global operation. You will work with home-grown and third-party systems to keep financial data pipelines efficient and well-supported. This is a hands-on role with a strong emphasis on operational excellence and pragmatic improvement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely completion of data processing pipelines and troubleshoot databases, processes, and services
• Drive operational and process improvements using practical experience and best practices
• Provide technical support and configuration for the global ERP system
• Collaborate with system developers and engineers to ensure development pipelines follow business processes
• Monitor support channels and respond to user issues

Key requirements

• At least 2 years’ professional experience in financial data
• SQL
• ETL concepts
• ERP Systems
• Python or PowerShell
• STEM or accounting degree
• Ideally some understanding of financial accounting
