iOS Engineer

Overview

Join Zopa’s Mobile Platform team to help shape the foundations of the iOS experience for a fast, reliable, and engaging mobile banking app. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, and Backend colleagues to bring high-quality, native features to life and improve performance for customers. The role focuses on building robust architecture, shared modules, and developer tooling that enable cross-functional teams. You’ll contribute to an engineering culture that values quality, collaboration, and customer impact, in a hybrid London-based setup.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with iOS engineers and React Native colleagues to share best practices and make informed native development decisions
• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve app performance for a faster, more reliable user experience
• Build and evolve customer-facing features leveraging iOS native capabilities
• Partner with Product, Design, and Backend teams from ideation to high-quality releases
• Contribute to shared architecture, design system, and developer tooling within the mobile platform

Key requirements

• Experience building and shipping production iOS apps using Swift
• Strong understanding of iOS frameworks and native mobile development principles
• Track record of delivering high-engagement, fast, intuitive apps
• Commitment to code quality, testing, and reliability
• Curiosity, collaboration, and impact-driven mindset
• Bonus: experience with mobile security best practices; collaboration with Android (Kotlin) or React Native teams
