Architectural Designer

Overview

In this Architectural Designer role, you contribute across all project phases from strategy to construction packages, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams under a Project Manager. You develop and refine design solutions, produce drawings and models, and manage deliverables within budget and schedule. You apply your UK planning and building regulation knowledge to social infrastructure and data centre projects, supported by a strong design portfolio. Responsibilities

• Contribute to all project phases including strategy, test fits, schematic design, and design development
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across the project lifecycle under supervision
• Prepare, develop and edit drawings, models, schedules, and images for design documentation
• Coordinate workload to deliver on budget and schedule
• Apply experience with UK planning and building regulations to projects
• Maintain a portfolio-style demonstration of high design and technical capability
• Lead diverse and complex social infrastructure and/or data centre projects

Key requirements

• RIBA Part II (or equivalent)
• 3-5 years UK-based practical and industry experience in social infrastructure projects (health, data centres, science and technology, education, community)
• Proactive, initiative-taking attitude and eagerness to learn
• Excellent collaboration, organization, and teamwork
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Intermediate knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office
• Working knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
• Understanding of computational and parametric design
• Graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
