Digital Design Lead (Electrical)

Overview

In this role you lead the electrical discipline’s digital design outputs within HDR’s Building Engineering Services group. You will own the discipline model, deliver BIM content, and ensure alignment with the Digital Delivery Plan. You’ll collaborate in cross-disciplinary reviews, maintain model health, and drive efficient digital delivery for complex infrastructure projects. This is a chance to shape digital workflows, support high-performance facilities, and contribute to HDR’s mission of engineering impact.

Responsibilities

• Own and generate the electrical discipline model and BIM elements per LOD in the DDP
• Create and maintain discipline content and digital delivery output
• Model accurately using current 3D software within project constraints
• Produce detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams
• Maintain project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, and match-lines in the discipline model
• Produce discipline-specific documentation with accurate annotations
• Monitor and improve company standards and model health
• Coordinate designs with other discipline models through design reviews and 3D coordination
• Execute all Digital Delivery requirements for the project

Key requirements

• Technical degree / HND / HNC or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 years related industry experience
• Advanced Revit skills and document management (ACC/Forma)
• Advanced 3D coordination tools skills (ACC/Forma, Navisworks)
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Strong understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
• Knowledge of ISO19650 and discipline codes/specifications
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organization
