Overview

As Director, Full-Stack Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable, high-performance software across the full lifecycle. You will shape architecture and code quality in an agile, AI-enabled environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to place the client at the center of every decision. You’ll accelerate innovation with AI-led development while mentoring engineers and guiding product-aligned initiatives in FX tech. This role combines leadership, hands-on technical work, and a focus on fast-paced, mission-critical systems in finance. You will help drive transformative solutions that power the future of finance at BNY.

Responsibilities

• Lead system design, code quality, and agile development to build scalable, performant solutions.
• Leverage AI to accelerate innovation and promote AI-led development.
• Collaborate in small cross-functional agile teams focused on client-centric outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement with a growth mindset and curiosity.
• Partner with Product Managers to devise and deliver new FX products.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to foster technical growth across the team.

Key requirements

• Extensive years of development experience
• Bachelor in Computer Science, Mathematics or a similar field
• Experience building mission-critical systems, ideally in financial institutions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a results-driven mindset
• Adaptability and leadership through change
• Prior experience with Front Office trading systems
• Low latency trading experience
• Co-location infrastructure knowledge
• Experience with high-performance messaging systems
• Hands-on experience with FIX APIs
