Senior Health, Safety and Fire Consultant

Overview

As a Senior Health, Safety and Fire Consultant, you will lead client-facing H&S and fire risk projects across commercial and residential settings. You’ll design and implement robust management systems, inspections and audits, and mentor junior team members. Your work drives compliant, best-practice safety standards for high-profile environments. You will collaborate with stakeholders to secure timely, high-quality outcomes and influence safety culture and performance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality H&S and fire risk consultancy across projects
• Design and implement complex H&S management systems, inspections and audit programmes
• Manage client relationships, respond to proposals, and support project delivery to time and budget
• Produce reports and recommendations aligned with legislation and best practice
• Support team collaboration and mentor junior consultants on-site safety
• Lead on-site safety and ensure compliant delivery in diverse environments

Key requirements

• Level 6 health and safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma or NCRQ)
• Recognised fire qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Fire or advanced fire risk assessor); NAFRAR Tier 3 preferred
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S and fire legislation with practical management system experience
• Full UK driving licence and ability to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance
