Director, Product Design – Connectivity

Overview

As Design Leader for Deel’s Connectivity team, you will shape the long-term direction of the platform that powers API docs, integration flows, and developer-facing tools. You’ll work hands-on with a small team to elevate user experience across B2B, developer, and enterprise surfaces, while translating technical constraints into intuitive flows. You’ll lead by example, shipping high-quality design and mentoring others in research and metrics. Responsibilities

• Shape the long-term vision for Deel’s Connectivity platform in collaboration with PDE Directors
• Design and ship across API/docs, integration flows, partner tooling, and AI-powered surfaces
• Collaborate with designers on platform, B2B, and developer-facing projects to tighten UX and simplify complexity
• Translate technical constraints into intuitive, self-serve user flows
• Manage and mentor a small design team, raising craft, research, and data-informed decision making
• Lead by doing, setting high standards and coaching others to elevate output

Key requirements

• 8+ years in Product Design
• 3+ years at senior IC level (Lead/Staff)
• Experience managing designers (up to 5 reports)
• Experience at scale-ups or developer-focused companies
• Experience with API/developer products or platform ecosystems
• Strong craft across interaction and visual design for B2B, developer, and enterprise surfaces
• Experience designing for documentation and developer onboarding flows
• Comfort with complex system architecture and technical constraints
• Interest in AI and AI-powered product experiences; portfolio with AI-related work
• Multi-sided platform design experience
• Data-driven, measuring success through adoption and integration metrics
• Understanding of enterprise and startup needs
