Claims Operations Manager

Overview

As Claims Operations Manager, you will lead governance, continuous improvement and operational excellence across Claims Operations in London or Manchester. You’ll oversee audits, regulatory obligations and remediation actions while driving efficiency and reducing leakage. The role focuses on subrogation, recoveries, supplier governance and capability-building to support the claims function. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain governance frameworks, controls and procedures across Claims Operations
• Oversee audits and regulatory obligations (SOX, internal/external audits) and lead remediation actions
• Drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency, reduce leakage and strengthen controls, including tech change
• Lead subrogation, recoveries, vendor onboarding, panel governance, delegated authority and third-party performance
• Produce management information and lead learning initiatives to build technical capability across Claims

Key requirements

• Strong claims operations expertise with experience in claims optimisation or transformation
• Practical understanding of regulatory and legal requirements, audit activity and operational controls
• Ability to build relationships with Claims leadership, Finance, Compliance and other partners
• Analytical thinking with problem-solving skills and comfort with mathematical/statistical data
• Clear communication, good planning and proficient Excel usage, with independent prioritisation
