Principal Electrical Engineer (Building Services)

Overview

In this role you will lead and deliver Building Services MEP design projects within a multidisciplinary team at WSP Cambridge. You will couple technical leadership with client-facing delivery, steering feasibility, detailed design, and resource planning to meet project goals. Responsibilities

• Lead projects for your discipline and the overall project team, driving successful delivery
• Provide design and technical guidance within a multidisciplinary MEP group
• Supervise detailed design work and the output of discipline teams
• Lead project feasibility studies and assess discipline-specific feasibility
• Direct production of detailed and performance specifications subject to peer review
• Review programmes and ensure sufficient resources are allocated to complete works

Key requirements

• Understanding of UK and European regulations applicable to the discipline and how to apply them
• UK project experience within Building Services MEP
• Working knowledge of 3D design software (Revit MEP) to allocate/direction work
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD for project direction
• Ability to sketch and communicate technical details graphically and effectively
