Document Controller

Overview

In this role, you ensure the project design information is captured and stored in our common data environment (Viewpoint for Projects) to support site teams across multiple projects in the London region. You will act as a liaison between design and site teams, maintain information management protocols, and drive timely issuance of documents. You will collaborate with the Viewpoint Champion and various teams to keep the CDE organized and compliant, enabling efficient handovers and reporting. This is a people-focused, cross-site role at a leading UK contractor with opportunities to grow within a dynamic project portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams by capturing and organizing design information in Viewpoint for Projects (CDE)
• Ensure information management protocols (IMP and BEP) are followed and documents issued on time
• Liaise with design and site teams on key documentation and handover information
• Build relationships with site team members up to Director level
• Support the Viewpoint Champion for the project team
• Assist with workflow processes (RDD, RFI, Change Control) and linking information to virtual containers within the CDE
• Manage the CDE: create internal/external containers, invite/revoke users
• Manage registers and site records to ensure compliance with BMS processes
• Generate and issue reports to internal/external parties as required
