Overview

In this PMO Associate role, you will support delivery excellence across a portfolio of programmes and projects, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure planned, governed, and timely execution. You will drive standards, reporting, risk/issue management, and process improvements while coaching teams on best practices. You work closely with Delivery Managers, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Risk to optimize delivery and benefits realization, contributing to a mature PMO capable of handling complex, matrixed environments. This is a hands-on role that shapes governance, planning, and performance insights at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate portfolio governance routines and administrative support; track decisions and follow-ups to closure
  • Maintain standards and documentation catalog across projects and products
  • Ensure alignment to policies, delivery frameworks and controls
  • Facilitate development of integrated plans and schedules and dependency mapping
  • Monitor scope, schedule, and budget; surface variances and drive corrective actions
  • Manage scope changes; document impacts and secure approvals
  • Maintain view on resource allocation; coordinate forecasting and budgeting with Finance
  • Support identification and mitigation of risks, issues, and dependencies; maintain required documentation
  • Develop and monitor portfolio performance metrics and concise executive reports
  • Champion delivery frameworks (JPM PI product delivery lifecycle) and PMO standards; drive continuous improvements
  • Craft narratives for senior leaders; facilitate workshops and planning sessions
  • Support change readiness, training, and communications planning

Key requirements

  • 4-6 years of progressive PMO or portfolio operations experience in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Strong command of delivery methodologies and governance practices
  • Experience managing schedules, budgets/forecasts, RAID, and change control across multiple projects
  • Proficiency with Jira/Confluence; familiarity with other PPM/work management tools a plus
  • Experience embedding AI tools into workflows (a bonus)
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for analytics and executive storytelling
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management; ability to influence without authority
