Overview

As a Real Estate Lawyer at Baker McKenzie Belfast, you join a highly regarded global real estate team. You will support multinational corporates with UK occupier needs, due diligence, asset management, and UK real estate acquisitions and disposals, in coordination with the London partners and team. You’ll work as part of a collaborative, knowledge-sharing group and may supervise paralegals, with some travel to London. This role offers exposure to complex transactions within a leading international firm and a strong client-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support multinational corporates on UK occupier needs
• Assist with due diligence and post-completion matters
• Support asset management work for institutional investors
• Assist on UK real estate acquisitions and disposals
• Collaborate with London Banking team on real estate finance transactions
• Coordinate with London Corporate team on multi-jurisdictional M&A implementations
• Manage paralegals in Belfast to assist with work
• Occasional travel to the London office

Key requirements

• Qualified lawyer with excellent academics
• Substantial commercial real estate experience in international or city firm
• Strong understanding of Land Registry and HMRC processes
• Excellent written communication and drafting skills
• Initiative, proactivity, client-first service orientation
• Ability to build client relationships and high work standards
• Strong analytical and adaptable communication skills
• English law real estate experience
• Experience of complex real estate transactions
• Willingness to learn and develop competencies
