Overview

As Associate Director, you will lead quality engineering strategies and testing solutions for Insurance clients, shaping go-to-market propositions and guiding senior stakeholders. You’ll drive QE capabilities across traditional and agile programs, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact outcomes. This role blends strategic advisory with hands-on leadership, contributing to Deloitte’s premium QE proposition and growth in the Insurance sector.

Responsibilities

• Define modern Quality Engineering strategies, test architectures and assurance frameworks for delivery programmes
• Collaborate with multi-capability teams and senior stakeholders to ensure high-quality QE outcomes on time
• Shape client QE strategies, roadmaps and transformation programmes across Insurance
• Develop Deloitte’s QE propositions for the Insurance market through pre-sales, bids and client presentations
• Coach junior team members and help implement QE accelerators and standards
• Strengthen client relationships and guide investment in QE tools and methods
• Support practice growth and contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture
• Collaborate with leadership teams to develop and implement ‘Go to market’ propositions

Key requirements

• Significant experience in the UK Insurance industry (Life, General, Specialty or Reinsurance)
• Experience of professional services delivery
• Exceptional communication, presentation and business writing skills with ability to bridge technical and business stakeholders
• Experience working with offshore and/or nearshore teams
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management experience
• Experience across functional, integration, UAT and non-functional testing including automation and performance
• Experience using test management tools such as JIRA, ADO or Xray
• Experience supporting bids, RFPs and go-to-market activities
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Acute attention to detail
• Comfortable in fast-paced, changeable client environments
• Strong commercial awareness of professional services firms and change/transformation programmes
