Overview
In this role you will support a busy transport team in London by delivering Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans, while modelling and analysing transport data to inform development proposals. You will liaise with local authorities, statutory bodies and design teams to ensure transport considerations are integrated across projects. You will mentor junior staff and uphold safety, QA, and corporate procedures. Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and supporting technical notes
- Lead stakeholder engagement with local authorities, statutory bodies and design teams
- Mentor and review junior staff work, providing guidance and developmental support
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality assurance, and company procedures
- Undertake and oversee transport modelling, forecasting, and data analysis using industry-standard tools
- Interpret national, regional, and local transport policy and apply it to development proposals
Key requirements
- Minimum 3.5 years relevant Transport Planning experience
- Accredited Degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering, Mathematics or similar
- Understanding of the UK planning process
- High standard of work with attention to detail, accuracy and quality
- Ability to meet briefs within agreed timescales
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex data
- Approachable and professional manner with colleagues and clients
- Computer literate with advanced MS Office
- Good numeracy and spreadsheet skills
