In this Senior Consultant role, you help deliver cost and commercial assurance across major construction programmes, guiding risk and opportunity identification to improve project outcomes. You’ll lead and mentor junior colleagues, contribute to bids, and help refine service delivery. The position blends data-driven analysis with contract knowledge to drive more effective governance and supply chain performance. Responsibilities

• Undertake assurance reviews on major projects to assess contractual compliance and control effectiveness
• Analyse complex contracts (NEC3/4/ICE Bespoke) and extract actionable recommendations
• Perform data testing and visualisation (PowerBi/Tableau) to identify trends and improve insights
• Produce clear written findings and client-facing reports with concise messages
• Engage with suppliers and clients to foster collaboration and trust
• Assess and strengthen client commercial controls, governance, and decision processes
• Review and advise on variations, claims, forecasts, and commercial performance to maximise value
• Lead and mentor junior team members and contribute to service line development and bids

Key requirements

• Assurance or audit experience in construction, commercial, or accounting settings
• Strong understanding of construction procurement, cost, and entitlement concepts
• Experience with NEC3/4 contract management (Option C, E)
• Data analysis skills with the ability to derive insights from large data sets (PowerBi/Tableau preferred)
• Effective report writing and communication of complex messages
• People and organizational management experience in a team environment
• Presentation skills and stakeholders engagement
• Professional skepticism and integrity in independent service delivery
• Degree qualified in a relevant subject
• Professional body membership or working towards MRICS/ACA/ACCA/CIMA/MCIPS (advantage)
