Associate Structural Engineer

Overview

In this role you support the design and analysis of basic structural engineering tasks within a team focused on offshore energy projects. You work under guidance to apply standards and develop familiarization with codes, design methods, and reporting. You help translate project requirements into reliable calculations and documentation, enabling safe delivery of subsea and onshore infrastructure. This is a hands-on entry point to contribute to energy transition initiatives and broad multi-discipline projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations on basic tasks under close supervision
• Prepare clear and accurate design calculations, analyses, reports, and procedures
• Organize work to meet deadlines and manage project scope
• Communicate clearly and verify understanding with team members
• Perform computer analyses of structures with guidance from senior engineers
• Prepare design calculations and MTOs of primary structures under supervision
• Support subcontract document preparation and vendor data reviews with guidance
• Assist in reviews of drafting and ensure compliance with specifications

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering
• 0-3 years of oil and gas industry experience
• EIT or professional engineering society member preferred
• Eager to learn and adapt to standards, codes, and guidelines
• Working knowledge of English (oral and written)
• Familiar with codes and standards and basic design techniques and analysis methods
• Committed to HSE, TQM and cost-conscious practices
• Flexible to reassignment to different sites and teams
• Accredited engineering degree as regionally required
