Technical Manager – Residential – South West London

Overview

In this Technical Manager role, you will oversee the technical delivery of new build residential developments, ensuring compliance, quality, and on-time delivery. You will work within a design-focused team to manage briefs, site checks, and technical processes, collaborating with clients, consultants, and contractors. The role emphasizes regulatory understanding, safety adherence, and strong stakeholder relationships to maintain high design and build standards. Responsibilities

• Ensure legal requirements are approved so projects commence and are built to high standards
• Occasional on-site presence for site checks
• Develop and refine briefs under guidance of Technical Manager
• Follow and improve technical processes and address issues to enhance project delivery
• Review full working drawing packages for accuracy
• Identify required surveys, site investigations, and consultants
• Manage due diligence on design information received
• Fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities per company policy

Key requirements

• 3–5 years in a managerial role
• Problem solver with minimal instruction
• Smart, presentable and customer-facing
• Punctual, reliable with practical skills
• Degree qualified or equivalent
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• Technical understanding of regulatory constraints
• Understanding of the planning process
• Project Management skills
• Experience with design-driven construction in new build residential projects
• Good knowledge of Building Regulations and NHBC Technical Standards
