Technical Coordinator – Residential Developer – Surrey

Overview

In this Technical Coordinator role, you will support a Surrey residential developer from concept through to completion. You collaborate with the technical, architectural, commercial and production teams to ensure drawings and packages are delivered on time. You will review and interrogate design information across disciplines, focusing on RC and timber frame residential schemes, and help manage project programmes and critical paths. The position offers progression within a collaborative, detail‑driven environment that values sustainability and compliance. This is a hands-on, cross‑functional role with a clear impact on delivery and quality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drawing packages with the technical and architectural teams
• Liaise with commercial and production teams during development
• Ensure packages meet deadlines and quality standards
• Question and interrogate design information across disciplines
• Understand and monitor project programmes, identifying Critical Paths
• Support multi-discipline communication and coordination
• Organise and manage processes and people
• Collaborate effectively as part of a team

Key requirements

• 3+ years’ residential developer experience on multiple new build developments
• Strong knowledge of the development/technical design process
• Proven experience with detailed design for residential schemes (RC frame, timber frame)
• Ability to question design information across disciplines
• Architectural background; AutoCAD beneficial
• Understanding of Building Regs, NHBC Standards, and sustainability
• Ability to interpret and negotiate compliance
• Ability to read and interrogate project programmes and identify Critical Paths
• Degree level education or relevant professional qualification
• Strong communication across all disciplines; well‑organized; attention to detail; able to manage people, processes and time
