Applications Engineer, Legal Productivity Solutions

Overview

In this role you will support and manage a portfolio of essential legal applications, focusing on reliability, performance, capacity, security, and value delivery. You will work within the Technology Practice of Law Solutions to improve user experience, drive adoption, and align roadmaps with business needs. You’ll act as a technical and functional escalation point, coordinate with IT teams, and contribute to lifecycle activities, documentation, and training. This role offers the chance to influence how legal professionals work with technology at scale and across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional support as an escalation point for the portfolio
• Own incidents or problems and ensure timely resolution
• Assist Product Manager with analysis of applications and project tasks
• Support standardization and rationalization plans across the product lifecycle
• Plan proactive maintenance and assess impact of updates with IT teams
• Participate in enhancement projects to meet evolving business needs
• Maintain application documentation and deliver training to Service & Support Teams
• Keep technical knowledge up-to-date and monitor innovations relevant to the portfolio
• Maintain relationships with application providers within the portfolio
• Collaborate with IT teams across Desktop Platforms, Security, and Technical Change Management
• Understand licensing, adoption, and efficient utilization of portfolio applications

Key requirements

• Advanced level experience with M365 Apps and M365 Copilot
• Awareness of technology trends relevant to the portfolio (including AI agents)
• Experience troubleshooting complex documents and related applications
• Knowledge of M365 cloud platforms such as SharePoint and OneDrive
• Experience executing application updates and upgrades
• Experience with document productivity technology in a legal environment (desirable)
• Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships and communicate openly
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong multitasking and learning ability
• Excellent analytical skills
• Team-oriented and good communication in English
