Senior ICT & Security Design Engineer – London, Bicester or Newcastle

Overview

In this role you will lead ICT and security design for multi-disciplinary building projects, helping to deliver low-energy, future-ready digital infrastructure. You will work within a client-facing delivery team to shape engineering solutions and oversee medium-sized projects from concept through delivery. You’ll contribute technical content, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure project goals align with cost, schedule, and quality expectations. Responsibilities

• Carry out cost and profit diagnosis on projects including feasibility studies and fee bids
• Review project status with internal and external teams and adjust schedules as needed
• Prepare project reports for management and clients
• Represent the company at technical meetings with customers and contractor teams
• Support project delivery per the RED Project Delivery Process (PM, financial, QA/QC, technical reviews)
• Make day-to-day decisions on project progress and liaise with clients
• Manage medium-sized projects
• Undertake client-facing development, design, and coordination of ICT/security installations and related facilities
• Ensure technical content and accuracy for Trainees, Graduates and Engineers

Key requirements

• Engineering degree in ICT infrastructure engineering
• 5-10 years of relevant experience
• Experience in ICT infrastructure, building ICT fit-out migration and occupation
• Background in IT/ICT consultancy, security consultancy, construction project management with a technology emphasis
• Knowledge of networks and security concepts
• Familiarity with project management and client-facing roles
