Infrastructure Engineering – Senior Engineer

Overview

In this role you will help deliver RM Assessment’s high-volume, high-stakes SaaS infrastructure using code-driven approaches. You’ll collaborate with architects, developers and the wider Infrastructure Engineering team to ensure consistent, secure, scalable deployment pipelines. You will mentor teammates while handling on-call escalations and driving continuous improvement in deployment processes. This position sits at the intersection of cloud platforms, security and data processing to support our global assessment ecosystem. Responsibilities

• Develop infrastructure and application deployment pipelines
• Deploy new and changed infrastructure and applications
• Support project delivery through timely delivery of quality infrastructure and pipelines
• Refine and improve existing deployment processes to support continuous improvement of delivery
• Produce technical documentation to a high standard
• Provide 4th line escalation for infrastructure issues including on call (on a rota basis)
• Mentorship within the Infrastructure Engineering team

Key requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure ecosystem with Azure Kubernetes, Application Gateway, APIM, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, ServiceBus and related diagnostics for data processing and distributed apps
• Solid understanding of Security, IAM, Networking, and Database concepts
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Helm Charts, Docker, Terraform, Bash, Packer, Ansible
• Familiarity with standard project lifecycle processes
• Time management and ownership mindset; able to prioritise and resolve issues under ambiguity
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; alignment with RM values
• Awareness of security best practices, monitoring and compliance
