Data Centre Installation Manager

Overview

In this role you will support data centre operations and connectivity projects across UK sites. You will manage installations, moves, changes, and decommissioning while ensuring audits and patching are completed. You’ll work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver end-to-end data centre services, including migration and capacity management. The position involves travel, night and weekend hours, and a strong emphasis on hardware, cabling, and troubleshooting to keep critical infrastructure running.

Responsibilities

• Lifecycle support including installs, moves & changes, relocation, decommissioning & disposal, patching, troubleshooting
• Managed data centre services such as migration, capacity management, rollout & deployment
• Infrastructure tasks including structured cabling, rack deployment & aisle containment, wireless networking

Key requirements

• UK-based with full UK working rights
• Full UK Driving licence
• Experience in data centres
• Willingness to work nights and weekends
• Intermediate Excel (advanced preferred)
• Experience with hardware, cabling, and cable auditing
• IT support / breakfix experience for hardware and cabling
• Familiarity with CISCO and WAN/LAN connectivity
• Travel to customer sites across the UK
