Site Reliability Engineer

Overview

As part of Wheely’s expanding infrastructure team, you will strengthen reliability, security, and performance across our multi-city platform. You’ll implement best practices for secure infrastructure, finalize a centralized authorization system, and build monitoring and audit capabilities to shorten incident response. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale features while maintaining high availability and privacy. This role offers hands-on impact on how millions of rides are powered safely and efficiently, with a strong emphasis on automation and DevOps culture.

Responsibilities

• Implement security best practices for infrastructure
• Finalize centralized authorization system for developers and services
• Build comprehensive monitoring and alerting to proactively handle incidents
• Ensure comprehensive access audit across infrastructure
• Assist teams with incident investigations related to infrastructure
• Contribute to engineering culture and DevOps practices to attract top talent

Key requirements

• Proven experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS/GCP)
• Ability to code in Golang, Python, etc.
• Knowledge of Linux troubleshooting, including networking and file systems
• Experience in infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python, etc.
• Experience with containers and platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience with administration RabbitMQ/Nats/Kafka
• Experience with administration of SQL/NoSQL databases
• Strong written and verbal communication to align with team and stakeholders
• Ability to focus on priorities, manage time, and deliver
