Overview
You will lead the geotechnical presence in the Midlands, serving as the local focal point while supported by a regional team. You will deliver high-quality geotechnical solutions across diverse projects, shaping ground investigations, models, and foundations. You’ll act as a technical leader, growing capability within the Birmingham team and influencing project direction. This role offers the chance to contribute to a growing Midlands business within a collaborative national network.

Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver ground investigations and geotechnical designs
- Develop robust ground models
- Produce clear, high-quality interpretive reports
- Design geotechnical structures including foundations, earthworks, slopes, retaining structures and ground improvement solutions
- Act as a technical leader and grow geotechnical capability within the Birmingham team
Key requirements
- Proven experience scoping and delivering geotechnical investigations and designs
- Strong ground modelling and interpretive reporting skills
- Experience designing a range of geotechnical structures
- Confidence working independently and leading technical delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Chartered status with a relevant professional body
- Degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (BEng, BSc or higher)
