Overview
In this role you will join a busy private client team in Northampton to handle estate administration, planning and trusts. You will work directly with clients in the office or at their residences, contributing to client service and business development. You will support and mentor junior lawyers and maintain strong communication with clients and colleagues. This position offers the opportunity to shape client outcomes across wills, lasting powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters within a respected regional firm.
Responsibilities
- Manage estate administration including inheritance tax
- Provide estate planning advice including inheritance tax planning
- Create and administer trusts
- Handle Court of Protection/Administration work
- Draft wills and lasting powers of attorney
- Draft estate and trust accounts
- Meet clients in office, hospital, care home, or at home
- Engage in marketing and business development activities
- Support and train junior team members
- Maintain professional, empathetic client communication and high-quality written/verbal interactions
