National NHS Services Manager – Business Development

Overview

In this role you will help drive NHS activity and revenue across our hospital network, aligning NHS commissions and partnerships with the charity’s mission to build a healthier nation. You’ll work with hospital leaders and NHS stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, improve processes, and support strategic NHS collaborations. By leveraging data and cross‑functional partnerships, you will influence NHS strategy and ensure successful delivery across sites. Responsibilities

• Drive NHS activity, revenue growth and market share across our hospitals using data to identify opportunities
• Support annual NHS commissioning and contracting cycles, including contract negotiations, governance and risk management
• Provide expert advice on NHS commissioning, contracting, payment systems and best practice
• Support development and implementation of NHS data quality standards and performance reporting
• Build and maintain relationships with NHS England, ICBs, NHS Trusts and other stakeholders
• Support national projects, bids and tenders and ensure implementation across hospital sites
• Collaborate with operations, finance, revenue, IT and data teams to improve NHS processes and deliver commercial outcomes

Key requirements

• Significant experience of NHS commissioning, contracting and relationship management
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to analyse performance data and identify growth opportunities
• Proven business development experience and track record of partnerships with complex stakeholders
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management at operational and strategic levels
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
