Lead Applications Developer

Overview

In this role you will shape and evolve our Oracle landscape and build modern Oracle APEX applications to improve efficiency and decision-making. You will contribute to IT and business growth, delivering user-focused solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You’ll bridge technology and business processes, driving continuous improvement across the organization. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position with a clear impact on core systems and operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of Oracle EBS to stay robust and aligned with business needs
• Design, develop, and support Oracle APEX applications integrated with EBS and standalone
• Troubleshoot complex technical and functional issues across Oracle EBS and APEX
• Develop and support VB.NET and Python applications within a small portfolio
• Lead requirements gathering and translate business needs into technical solutions
• Own full project lifecycle from concept to go-live and post-implementation support
• Improve integration across systems to ensure reliable data flows
• Investigate complex functional issues to identify root causes and fixes
• Support and enhance business operations through technology
• Deliver clear documentation and user training to maximise system adoption
• Work in a quality-driven environment following standards and policies
• Gain broad business exposure across manufacturing operations

Key requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in a senior or lead developer role
• Strong experience with Oracle Database 19c, Oracle EBS 12.1.3+ and Oracle APEX 19.1+
• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills; solid database design and optimisation understanding
• Front-end development experience: JavaScript, JSON, CSS, HTML
• Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Genuine enthusiasm for programming, problem-solving and tackling complex challenges
• Experience across the full development lifecycle: requirements, analysis, design, implementation
• English proficiency suitable for visa processes (B2 level or equivalent)
• Desirable: VB.NET and Python for legacy systems, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate
• Desirable: familiarity with Linux
