Customs Compliance Analyst

Overview

In this role, you will support import/export compliance at Teledyne E2V in Chelmsford, ensuring adherence to domestic and foreign trade laws and corporate policies. You’ll assist with implementing the customs program, manage data points like HTS and origin, and support audits, training, and investigations. Responsibilities

• Ensure import and export compliance processes align with laws and corporate policies
• Support the customs compliance program elements, including documentation and touchpoints
• Handle trade data points: HTS classification, origin, FTA eligibility, valuation, export requirements
• Manage forwarding agents, recordkeeping, audits, and training
• Review and validate customs entries for accuracy and CITC compliance
• Manage Inward Processing Relief (IPR) for multiple sites
• Provide quarterly/yearly reporting and conduct customs training for functional groups
• Perform periodic audits and self-audits with corrective actions; assist in trade investigations
• Provide support to other Teledyne sites as needed
• Engage with local Trade Compliance and Corporate International Trade Compliance (CITC) with a business-support mindset

Key requirements

• Knowledge of UK & EU Customs Laws and Regulations
• Experience with HTS, valuation, classifications, and Preferential Origin
• Familiarity with MSS data and customs procedures
• Strong computer and data-analysis skills for reports
• Experience in UK customs systems (CHIEF, CDS) and SAP4HANA is a plus
• Excellent communication and collaborative problem-solving abilities
• Proven track record in a UK & EU Customs role
