Procurement Manager

Overview

As a Procurement Consultant/Manager, you will lead procurements on infrastructure projects and help shape major programmes that support the client and project teams. You will work within cross‑functional groups to deliver value, manage relationships, and contribute to work winning and talent development. The role combines hands‑on procurement leadership with mentoring junior staff in a consultancy environment. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage procurements on complex construction and infrastructure projects from early market engagement to contract award
• Own delivery on projects and supervise junior colleagues to ensure service quality and on-time, on-budget outcomes
• Build and nurture client and internal stakeholder relationships to align procurement strategies with client goals
• Support business development and work winning activities through market engagement and insights
• Analyse market trends, risks, and opportunities to inform delivery models and contracting strategies
• Identify improvements, share best practices, and contribute to knowledge transfer across teams
• Advise on standard form contracts (FIDIC/NEC) and other commercial frameworks
• Drive high standards of communication and presentation to influence stakeholders at all levels

Key requirements

• MRICS, MCIPS or equivalent
• 5+ years leading procurements of complex construction and infrastructure projects under Public Contract Regulations
• Experience in market engagement, procurement planning, and contract award processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence decisions
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
• Experience within a consultancy environment or knowledge of the consultancy model
• Ability to lead others, delegate tasks, and meet deadlines while delivering outcomes
• Business development experience preferred
