CTO – AI Business Solutions

Overview

In this senior leadership role, you define and evolve the technology and AI strategy for Kainos’ AI Business Solutions practice, spanning Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Copilot and Azure AI. You will translate Microsoft’s AI roadmap into repeatable, outcome-led offerings, driving secure, scalable solutions and market differentiation. You lead a cross-functional engineering discipline while engaging senior customers and Microsoft partners. Your work shapes growth, capability investment and go-to-market differentiation in a fast-scaling practice.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the technology and AI strategy for the practice across Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Copilot, Copilot Studio and Azure AI
• Define the long-term technology roadmap aligned to industry priorities and Microsoft AI platform evolution
• Shape AI-augmented workflows and agent-based patterns with scalable design and governance
• Establish architectural and AI design principles ensuring security, compliance and best-practice alignment
• Align capability investment to growth priorities and Microsoft ecosystem strategy
• Evaluate emerging Dynamics, Power Platform and AI capabilities for standard solution patterns
• Advise executive customers on AI-enabled transformation and engage at C-suite level
• Partner with Sales and Practice leadership to shape flagship pursuits and significant bids
• Build relationships with Microsoft across field and engineering to support co-sell and joint engagements
• Represent Kainos as a credible Microsoft AI and Business Applications leader
• Provide governance across the practice, including architectural reviews and engineering standards
• Oversee high-impact programmes and ensure consistent delivery practices
• Lead AI-first storytelling and embed Copilot/agent capabilities into repeatable offerings
• Develop accelerators, patterns and delivery models using Microsoft AI to improve speed, quality and margin
• Contribute to industry go-to-market propositions with technical differentiation
• Collaborate with other practices on responsible AI, data and platform strategy
• Lead and develop the senior technical leadership community and define capability strategy
• Ensure certification and skills investment keeps pace with Microsoft AI ecosystem
• Support recruitment and development of senior technical roles

Key requirements

• Significant senior technology leadership or CTO-level experience within the Microsoft ecosystem
• Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform; familiarity with Copilot, Copilot Studio and Azure AI
• Experience turning AI-enabled solutions from concept to scalable, governable products
• Proven ability to drive revenue growth through executive engagement and technology leadership
• Confidence engaging with senior customers, Microsoft and partners on AI strategy and outcomes
• Ability to connect Microsoft AI capabilities to business value and differentiation
