Project Controls Manager – Aviation

Overview

As a Project Controls Manager you will lead the controls function for major infrastructure programmes in London and the South East, ensuring accurate plans, cost, safety, environmental and performance reporting. You will establish and maintain control processes in line with GRIP guidance and coordinate resources across project teams. You’ll review proposals, forecast resource needs, and deliver efficient reporting to Programme and Project Managers. Responsibilities

• Lead programme controls for infrastructure projects and ensure alignment with plans, cost, safety, environment and performance reporting
• Establish control processes per GRIP guidance and manage the controls team at project level
• Review new project proposals/remits to develop realistic resource plans
• Identify and coordinate resourcing requirements with planning functions to resolve issues
• Provide day-to-day reporting support to Programme/Project Managers on plans, costs, safety, environment and performance
• Monitor data input to cost and performance systems to meet data standards
• Produce Investment Plan and ensure compliance with Investment Competence Framework

Key requirements

• Experience in planning and scheduling functions including schedule development, control and analysis
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with PC operating systems and basic software applications
• Proficiency with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes
• Knowledge of engineering and construction management
