Head of Enterprise Risk Management

Overview

In this role you will lead the enterprise risk management function for a prominent Lloyd’s insurer, owning core risk governance and framework design. You will manage a small team and partner with senior stakeholders to shape risk appetite, validate internal models, design ORSA, and oversee the reinsurance purchase framework. This is a strategic, impact-driven position where you drive resilience and risk-informed decision making. You will operate at a senior level, directly influencing how risk is managed across the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise risk management function and oversee risk governance
• Own the risk appetite framework and monitoring processes
• Oversee internal model validation activities
• Design and implement ORSA processes
• Oversee the reinsurance purchase framework
• Manage a team (2 direct reports, total team of 6) and collaborate with senior stakeholders

Key requirements

• Existing Head of Risk or Capital, or a senior actuary ready to step up
• Experience in ERM, risk appetite, internal models, ORSA, and reinsurance frameworks
• Strategic and leadership capabilities
• Ability to operate in a Lloyd’s insurer environment
