Site Reliability Engineer – Sports Betting

Overview

In this role, you ensure 24/7 availability of systems and real-time data services, shaping compute resources to meet demand and maintaining robust CI/CD workflows. You work within a distributed, remote-ready team to enhance redundancy, backups, and data integrity in a high-performance fintech environment. You’ll apply your Linux, networking, and automation expertise to sustain ultra-low latency operations and scale infrastructure. This is a hands-on, independent role with strong impact on reliability, security, and deployment efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 24/7 availability of systems, infrastructure and real-time data services
• Design and allocate compute resources to meet application and business demand
• Operational management of internal development toolsets and CI/CD workflows
• Enhance redundancy and recovery procedures for products and services
• Optimise automated deployment and packaging of software components and release processes
• Monitor backups and ensure data resiliency and integrity

Key requirements

• Experience managing Linux servers at scale (virtual and bare metal)
• Good networking skills (switches, routers, firewalls)
• Security controls knowledge
• Puppet and Ansible
• Strong virtualization and container concepts
• Scripting in Python / Ruby / Perl
• Experience with Java and/or Scala applications
• Experience with Kubernetes (In Production)
• Ability to work independently with a globally distributed remote team
