Overview

In this role you ensure high standards of health and safety across cladding, roofing, and related trades on London projects. You will integrate safety practices within the project team and liaise with subcontractors to uphold compliance with regulations and standards. You drive risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and site inspections to protect personnel and maintain project momentum. Your work supports the contractor’s safety-focused culture and high-profile refurbishment and new-build initiatives across London.

Responsibilities

• Oversee health and safety delivery across cladding, roofing and high-risk trades
• Develop and manage Safe Systems of Work (SSoWs), RAMS, toolbox talks and site inspections
• Conduct site audits, risk assessments, H&S briefings for operatives and sub-contractors
• Ensure compliance with UK construction legislation (CDM 2015), working at height regulations, façade & cladding safety standards
• Monitor site behaviour, PPE, permit to work systems and report to Project Manager
• Collaborate with site management, subcontractors and specialists to promote a strong safety culture

Key requirements

• NEBOSH (Construction) or equivalent qualification
• IOSH membership
• Experience in cladding/roofing/height works environments
• Strong understanding of façade systems, roofing, safe access and working at height
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• London-based or able to travel across sites
