Data Scientist

Overview

In this Data Scientist role within the Functional Analytics team, you will design and develop ML-driven analytic engines integrated into Anaplan Applications. You will build scalable models and pipelines to deliver automated, actionable insights at enterprise scale and tailor solutions to client data during onboarding. You will partner with customers, Success, Product, and Engineering to adapt models to business logic and data nuances. This position offers hands-on work with state-of-the-art ML/ DL methods to tackle demand sensing and cold-start forecasting, shaping the analytics capabilities of our platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical deployment of engines for new clients and customize models to reflect client-specific logic and data nuances
• Design and develop scalable analytic capabilities that integrate into Anaplan Applications
• Design, train, and implement ML and DL models focused on demand sensing and forecasting
• Build and optimize data pipelines using SQL/Python with dbt and Snowflake
• Collaborate with engineers to productionize models via MLOps tooling (MLflow, Optuna, Prefect, Airflow)
• Drive customer onboarding and act as a technical partner during implementation

Key requirements

• Hands-on experience building and deploying data science solutions from prototype to production
• Strong predictive modeling foundation with ML and deep learning, including time-series
• Proficiency in Python, Pandas, software practices (testing, CI/CD)
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, SQL, and data transformation tools (dbt)
• Experience with scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Parquet
• MLOps exposure with model training, tracking, deployment, and monitoring
