Overview

In this role you will lead the development of high-value bids for a growing Proposals/Bid Team within a major infrastructure business. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver winning submissions across rail, energy, highways and nuclear sectors. You will shape bid strategy, drive compliant, high-quality content, and engage senior stakeholders to secure frameworks and long-term programmes. This role offers impact across multiple units, with scope to influence bid processes and outcomes at scale. You will work closely with senior leaders to help the business win significant infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full bid lifecycle from qualification to final submission
  • Develop winning bid strategies and submission plans for major opportunities
  • Write, review and refine proposal content tailored to client requirements
  • Facilitate bid workshops, reviews and solution development sessions
  • Coordinate technical, commercial and operational stakeholders throughout the bid
  • Ensure submissions comply with client requirements and governance procedures
  • Identify win themes and differentiators to improve bid quality
  • Support client presentations, interviews and post-submission activities
  • Mentor junior bid team members and drive continuous process improvement

Key requirements

  • Proven experience as Proposals Manager, Bid Manager or Senior Bid Professional in infrastructure sectors
  • Experience managing complex, high-value tenders in engineering, construction or infrastructure
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills
  • Strong project and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent bids and submission programmes
  • Solid understanding of procurement routes, framework bidding and tender compliance
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive bid strategy
