Overview

In this role you will oversee end-to-end accounting processes for a portfolio of artists, labels and projects, ensuring compliance and delivering insightful financial analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain financial integrity and drive sustainable growth. You’ll support audits and advisory financial planning, leveraging your accounting expertise in a fast-paced, creative industry. Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end accounting processes (AP, AR, month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting)
  • Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, HMRC regulations and industry standards
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports and dashboards for stakeholders and auditors
  • Provide advisory support on financial planning, budgeting and cost control
  • Collaborate with legal and tax teams on royalties, licensing fees and IP income
  • Monitor contractual terms, royalty statements and distribution agreements
  • Lead reconciliation of revenue streams (streaming, events, sync licensing, merchandise)
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
  • Support internal and external audits and maintain documentation
  • Mentor junior team members and develop team capabilities

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACA/ACCA qualification in progress or fully qualified
  • Professional accounting experience in music, entertainment, or creative industries
  • Experience in financial reporting, compliance and audit support in regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of royalty accounting, revenue recognition and contract compliance
  • Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience with international clients, multi-currency transactions and cross-border reporting (advantageous)
