Overview

In this role you will act as the post-sale commercial owner for wholesale trade accounts, driving implementation and ongoing expansion after deals are signed. You will partner with customers, internal delivery teams, issuers, and market stakeholders to move contracts into live usage and growth. You’ll balance relationship management with disciplined execution to unlock higher payment volumes and GDV growth. You’ll shape customer success practices and be the internal voice of the customer to inform future propositions. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role focused on tangible value realization in wholesale trade.

Responsibilities

  • Own senior relationships with wholesale trade customers post-signature and serve as the main commercial point of accountability
  • Develop and maintain account plans covering implementation progress, engagement, volume ramp-up and expansion opportunities
  • Lead post-sale mobilization of deals, coordinating across internal teams and partners to remove blockers
  • Support onboarding, supplier/buyer enablement, communications, and operational readiness
  • Drive GDV growth by increasing adoption, usage, and payment volumes; identify expansion opportunities beyond initial deals
  • Track value delivery, conduct regular business reviews, and refine payment journeys to improve adoption and outcomes
  • Escalate issues and advocate for customer needs to shape future propositions

Key requirements

  • Experience in account management, customer success, relationship management, or payments/fintech roles
  • Proven ability to manage senior customer relationships after deal signature and grow accounts
  • Experience managing complex implementations with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of B2B payments, AR/AP flows, and working capital drivers
  • Track record of delivering revenue, GDV, or usage growth from existing accounts
  • Knowledge of relationship management, customer success, and account growth planning
  • Ability to translate customer operating models into practical implementation plans
  • Familiarity with card acceptance, supplier enablement, receivables digitisation, and account-to-account payments
  • Experience using performance data and customer insights to drive adoption and growth
  • Willingness to travel within European markets

  • Commercially curious and proactive in spotting growth opportunities
  • Knowledge of B2B payments and wholesale trade
