Coverage Associate, Growth & Middle Market Technology (EMEA)

Overview

As a Coverage Associate in London you support technology-sector client engagement by preparing materials, coordinating between clients and internal teams, and assisting with credit and deal processes. You contribute to portfolio management, syndication efforts, and industry research while building trust with corporate clients, VCs, PE funds, and partner banks. You’ll help raise MUFG’s profile through branding events and cross‑functional collaboration. This role offers exposure to a global network and hands-on experience in execution and client coverage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pitch books, account plans, briefing notes, and deal screening submissions to underpin client engagement.
• Draft call reports and manage follow-ups to maintain strong client relationships.
• Coordinate facility documentation with the Credit Solutions team and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support deal teams in new transactions and ongoing portfolio management per internal policies.
• Assist in syndication activities by preparing lender presentations and engaging with lenders and clients.
• Maintain up-to-date sector knowledge using internal and external sources for technical and regulatory issues.
• Engage with local and regional MUFG teams to relay opportunities to GMMT clients.
• Build and maintain relationships across MUFG to enable cross-department collaboration.
• Manage external relationships with corporate clients, VC/PE funds, and partner banks on transactions.
• Organise thought leadership events with Events & Marketing to raise the GMMT profile on social platforms.

Key requirements

• Experience in banking or advisory environments with transactional processes.
• Knowledge of the technology sector and ability to build stakeholder relationships.
