The job in a nutshell:
Youll join an established Pre-Construction team inTuam, taking the lead on the pricing and preparation of major civil engineering and utility infrastructure tenders.
Youll manage tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and handover, reviewing drawings and specifications, completing detailed cost estimates, obtaining subcontractor and supplier quotations, assessing commercial risk and developing competitive bid strategies.
Youll work closely with the Commercial, Design, Operations and Project Delivery teams to ensure bids are technically strong, commercially viable and competitive.
Should you apply?
We think you should apply if you have strongestimating experience within civils, utilities or infrastructure.
Youll ideally have experience pricing projects across areas such as:
- Water & wastewater
- Power / electrical infrastructure
- Telecommunications
- Gas utilities
- Drainage & pipelines
- Roads & reinstatement
- Heavy civils / infrastructure
A degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline would be preferred.
You should also have a good understanding ofIrish construction contracts, procurement, construction methodologies, labour outputs and supply chain pricing.
Experience managing complete tenders and working with BOQs, drawings, specifications, subcontractor quotations and estimating software will be particularly valuable.
